BETWEEN BREATHS

Dear Friends,
the last cd i made was about eight years ago.the time was ripe to produce this one .its called BETWEEN BREATHS.some recordings were made year before last ,very spontaneously,also to try out bjorns new microphones ,a very special design. the recordings took place in the attic of the Progr(another of bjorns brilliant ideas).for those who dont know bjorn meyer is a highly talented bass player and the most patient recording engineer with  golden ears.luckily raghavendra kulkarni,my good friend and tabla player was also here, for a series of concerts we did together,so it all fell in place as they say.recordings were made, appreciated and liked by us and were kept away. till this year while in india listening to them on a car stereo on the way from poona to goa with doris ,dushyant, don li and pierre yves aka pyarelal.it was an indian sunset time and a  very  meditative drive down the hills into the coast of goa.it sounded most magical and the idea was born to produce this as a cd. so here it is . meditative with a lot of space and silence as BETWEEN BREATHS.

Of course needless to say that there is a lot of work in bringing out a cd,and it was the same with this one..THANKS to Raghavendra Kulkarni for always being there in his quiet unassuming manner,and then to the two pillars of hardwork,  total involvement, enthusiasm and constructive criticism---Bjorn Meyer and Asita Hamidi of Bazaarpool.
